the one you bring on depends on the state of the game. Maybe a player was injured, which they couldn't have predicted.

Impossible to know whether the one they brought on would have been on the bench.

There's a question of whether they should be docked *more* than the point they gained - is the punishment should be punitive, to deter people from actually cheating. (Otherwise the worst that can happen is that you don't get any points from a game - not much of a disincentive.)

But they definitely shouldn't have kept the point they got from that game.
