Complete and utter Guardian bollocks

Ian Wright is portrayed as the 'jester' because that's exactly how he portrays himself. Yes he's passionate and shoots from the lip, but there' only one person responsible for his perceived persona and that's Wright himself.

Ok, people might not like the stuffed shirt BBC image, but to be honest I do - at least you get perception, rigorous analysis and no little thought. No wonder Wright felt out of place - he might as well sit there with a bobble hat and a rattle for all the use he is as an 'analyst'.

This is not a black thing, this is an 'Ian Wright' thing.

And don't even get me started on football's most pompous, jumped up and breathtakingly pleased with himself smarmer, Garth Crooks.
