This just does not sound right

Since when has our allocation at Hillsborough been restricted. They usually let you have as many tickets as you can flog?

And QPR only taking an allocation of 800 for their last away game???! I would expect them to bring 2,000.

And Carrow Road officials are preparing for a big turn-out for the final game of the season, at Sheffield Wednesday on May 4 - when City fans will be hoping they can turn up in the knowledge that their Championship status is guaranteed for another year.

The trip to Hillsborough is being subsidised by half-price travel on City's own travel service - but ticket allocation depends very much on City's position in the Championship standings. Should they be safe by then, it is expected the club will sell between 1,500 and 2,000 tickets, but if their future rests on the outcome then City are prepared to ask for more tickets. However, they have warned fans to book early to avoid last-minute problems in ticket offices at both ends.

Before the grand finale, City have home games against Burnley, on Saturday, West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers - and while the first match of that sequence could fall short of a sell-out, the other two are expected to be played to packed houses.

West Brom are expected to sell all of their allocation of 2,300 tickets for a game which could see City break their attendance record for the season, beating the 25,462 who saw the goalless draw against Leicester in January.

The penultimate game of the season is on April 26 against QPR. The London club are expected to sell around 650 of their 800-ticket allocation, but the fixture is a highly significant one for Norwich fans, and not just because of the team's league position - it's the day that veteran striker Dion Dublin plays his final competitive match at Carrow Road before his retirement in the summer.

There is also much speculation over Darren Huckerby's future with City, so the visit of QPR could prove to be an emotional afternoon.

It's after the QPR game that Norwich's ticket department staff will take another look at their allocation for the final game - and will be hoping they don't have to ask for more.
