You can say what you like about the methods employed in the concentration camps, but they worked in difficult circumstances. Imagine trying to teach German to such a disparate group of Eastern Europeans...a bit like modern Britain! LOL!
Anyway, their GCSE results were fantastic and I for one cannot wait to pay off the admissions tutor so that little Heinrich can get a place in Oswald's, sorry, Max's German preparatory school for naughty little fraus and fraulines.

1. Why are German military uniforms worn?

Because they are in a German language school, would you rather they were wearing British uniforms? That would make no sense!

2. Why does he issue orders and threats in German to women who cannot speak German?

In my French class we were spoken at in French, even though we couldn't speak French. Leve tu!

3. Why does he deliver and count out beatings in German to women who cannot understand German?

Well, I think it's excellent that a bit more discipline is being introduced in the classroom. Plus, rhytmn can be a very useful tool when teaching numeracy:

eins ZWEI drei VIER funf and so an..phew! I'm tired just thinking about it, I don't know how these teachers do it day in, day out.

4. Why does he put on a German accent when speaking English?

5. Why are the victims of these beatings in German made to put on sinister striped uniforms?

Uniforms are very important to instill discipline in schools. Plus it stops people being picked on for having the wrong jackboots on. The added bonus is that vertical stripes are slimming.

6. Why the head lice inspections, the forced shaving of body hair and the sinister references to inmates being housed in "facilities"?

Nit nurse.
