Bloke of Egyptian descent goes missing from a flight back to the States from South Africa, after a suicide bomb attack targetting the head of the securitry forces, in a nameless North African country.

The CIA have kidnapped him and deported him to the nameless North African country to be interrogated, including torture, by the indigenous security forces - albeit overseen by a CIA observer.

The bomber turns out to be the boyfriend of the daughter of the head of the security services and it's all flashback until near the end when it isn't.

Clever inter-twining of three story threads and jolly well done I say.
