Ah yes, but Wynton Rufer played until he was 274 or summat.

Spent many a happy afternoon at the age of 11 or so watching him play up front for Werder Bremen on DSF. Absolutely top-notch striker - one of the most clinical I've seen. I've seen the New Zealand v Brazil game from the '82 World Cup and he looked pretty decent in that, too.

Had an XXL-style obsession with him when I was younger - wrote to him at Bremen and got a signed photo. Turns out he's a world-beating Christian. Grew out of it, though.

I wouldn't characterise myself as 'The Anorak' so much as 'He Who Knows Everything'. ;)
