Post saturday thoughts

1. Another good performance to follow on from Bristol City and frankly in both games we could have scored a hatful. That we didn't is a bit of a worry but at least we are now playing good football going forward and creating lots of chances.

2. Can't think of anyone who played badly. Cureton was probably the least effective and Roeder made the right change. Pick of the bunch for me were Pearce, Pattison and Bertrand but for once it must have been very hard to chose a Man of the Match.

3. Dion remains a class act and is back to his early season level after a bit of a slump.

4. Hucks looks back to something resembling his best and on this form is worth another year. I hope we at least make an offer to him even if it is on massively reduced terms.

5. Bertrand - mentioned it above but we should really try and pull out all the stops to get him back for next season or even permanently. He is an excellent young player and is getting better at left back by the game (after a slighly shaky start there). If we have him and Semi as our fullbacks next season I will be very happy.

6. Pearce - improving and growing on me by the game. Loved his reaction at the end - showed he cared. Worth a bid if we could get him for a reasonable fee. Needs to cut out appealing for offsid whilst the ball runs through no more than 3 yards in front of him though!

7. Excellent fist pumping/air guitar session from Fozzy mid way through the second half when Hucks did not track back!

8. Good referree again. Apart from the ex prem refs we have had some good ones recently.

9. Burnley - surprisingly not up for it given their position in the table. Again shows how average this division has been this year and that we have really missed out through having that idiot in charge at the start of the season.

10 I still think we need one more win to eb safe and I am not that confident we will get any points from our next 2 games. Having said that we are playing well enough now to win either of them.
