Much more positive after Friday's game

First chance to get back on here since the Inter game. Have to say beforehand I was approaching the season with a degree of trepidation but Friday's performance was very encouraging and I am now really looking forward to the game against Cov.

Thought all the new boys looked good but was particularly pleased to see Jarrett start to take charge in the midfield and I think alongside Safri he will do well. Also thought both LJ and Colin looked decent with the latter possibly just edging it for the starting berth in my view due to his greater composure. All in all though a good performance and despite the result a confidence boost.

Also have to say good news on the Francis front with a fee having been agreed. I think its clever work by the club. Wigan are so desperate to sign players that they have no doubt offered us a decent fee. I'm not sure that Francis really wants to go there but now he's in a difficult position. Also sticks two fingers up to Pompey who will have to stop playing games and match the Wigan bid now if they really want him. Finally on the Francis front i cannot believe the amount of retards who actually cheered him on Friday night. Imbeciles the lot of them!

All in all though positive stuff on the whole and if we get rid of DF and bring in a right midfielder to replace Hendo in the starting line up then I think we're in decent shape.
