Prague's really good, but very different to most of Czech. People are more friendly outside! Olomouc is definitely worth a visit and kutna hora's not too bad. Cesky Budejovice and Plzen are the big brewing towns, but not much there to see other than that.

Ostrava has good nightlife but is a bit of a s**t hole and not very welcoming to english speakers. Any of the small villages though will have great cheap beer and very cheap food.

Gambrinus is probably the best mainstream beer; but smaller independent breweries are all over the place which do great stuff as well.
