I've been impressed with rusty post Roeder.

I have to admit to having said "what exactly is the point of Russell" on a few occasions under Grant though.

Not that he's alone in looking useless for him, but I spent a couple of games watching his play and he contributed little.

Since GR though he's improved a thousand fold, gets involved, shuts people down, wins the ball, hits the box more and distribues it better.
He's still got work to do, doens't get in enough good positions around th box for me, but he's hitting it more.

Lost count of the number of times early on when the ball would come out of the oppo's box into no man's land, with nary a city CM to be seen arriving late to have a dig or put it back in.
