Perhaps its been updated since you read it -

It says he had been fined £2300 and banned. And that £15 add on was brought in a few years ago. I think it is for a fund for victims of crime.

I think that he should have been made to do some sort of community service. Perhaps this would have been a more appropriate punishment, which would be to deprive him of something that hurts, ie his free time.

A fine of that nature, although a massive amount for me, can’t be much on his wages, and I presume he can afford to get cabs whenever.
