don't understand why this is a problem as long as its only public spaces

after all, there's no entitlement to privacy in public (in fact that's the distinction between 'public' and 'private'). The only people who it affects are people who commit offences and if I end up being one of them (and I have had a speeding ticket in the past) then I don't have any complaints because no-one forced me to commit an offence.
