Sorry but no.

The early church established the date for celebrating the birth of Jesus at/around the same time as many pagan festivals took place. The shortest day of the year 21st/22nd December on the modern calendar, was one such time of the year.
In order not to compete but rather "assimilate" pagans. The Xmas tree is a direct result of paganistic and Christian lines being blurred.

About the only thing we do know for sure is that Jesus was born in the winter.
