Have you considered that Rooney is more of a provider these days than an out and out striker? Just watch where he turns up on the pitch, he's all over the place and it has to be part of Ferguson's game plan.
I'm taking nothing away from Ronaldo's rich vein of striking form this season, it's beyond question. But don't think for a minute that he's managed all that on his own, Rooney is a big part of that success.
