We want to buy players quite sharpish, and Wigan are stacked.

I should imagine that around ?1.25m is up front, and a further ?500k is due to appearances and a further ?250k is if they stay up.

I find it hard to believe that Pompey would say "We cannot afford Francis" if all they had to do is add ?100k, if the ?1.4m is to be believed.

I also guess that a proposed ?2m valuation is spot-on from NCFCs point-of-view.
