chepstow is 40 mins from my house, the only bad thing i can say about chepstow is that you wait in the car park for a rickety old van to take you and tyour gear down a VERY bumpy and steep track to the water side and of course you need a lift back up~!

vobster is about 1.5 hrs, has everything

cromhall is closest at 30 mins drive, but restricted to 15m and a bit featureless, great for training and testing kit tho, lacks facilities (only got portaloo etc)

stoney still the fave - 2 hours and got everything you need, including great shop - had a HP hose blow at 12m, and had to abort, would of killed the day anywhere else, but bought new one in the shop for £17 and carried on diving.......
