I thought that bit about the breathaliser reading was not quite right. Maybe the staff overheard the players talking. Maybe the whole story is rubbish.

But it did strike me as a little strange that he was arrested at Colney, so the tip off sounds credible.

From watching “Car Wars” or whatever it is called on TV, if the police pull a driver over where they find them, and not when he’s finished driving.

And if he denied driving all the police had to do was check if the engine was warm, and use the hotel staff as witness. Best to not lie in that situation, especially under caution.
