Regarding bowlers, I think there is a tendency these days to strive for some sort of mechanically ideal action rather than what works. Some of these guys get so much "advice" from experts and cameras and god knows what that they are thinking about too many different things and forget to focus on the most important thing, i.e. putting the ball in the right areas.
