good tip about cider, is to go through all the supermarket own brands

and work out which ones are nice (ie, from the brewery of normal brands)

Over the years I've worked out that,

Spar strong cider is alright (tastes like olde english)
Morrisons is awful
Sainsburys tastes bad, like Blackthorn (probably from that brewery)
Asdas is nice
