Shows how much of a farce the 'Champions' League is now...

...when a third place finish left you hanging on for a team to do the cup double so you could qualify for Europe!

Bring back the old system - the Cup Winners Cup was an excellent competition and the UEFA Cup shouldn't have any of this league bollocks, needs bringing back to straight knock-out as does the European Cup.

Shame the money-men have got the Champions League, it only makes the teams in it stronger and so more likely to qualify for it again the next year - get it back to two-legged knock-out ties from the start (have it seeded to start with if it'll help stop the big clubs moaning).
