As 'mere' ad designers they won't have had editorial training. And, judging by the salary differential, Archant judges trained subs to be worth more than ad designers.

Of course it amazes me that a) anyone from Suffolk is able to spell 'sub' let alone do the job b) anyone who is not from Suffolk (but presumably with enough intelligence) would want to live / work in that dump anyway.
