Wasn't the biggest fan of Doherty, but he's not been awful this season and doesn't deserve the criticism he gets week in week out. There's been occasions where Dublin's simply hoofed it clear or played dreadful backpasses (last game at Carrow Road there was an awful one that put Marshall under pressure) - people laugh those off but would go ballistic if it was Doherty that had done it.
On a similar train of thought strikers (Earnshaw springs to mind) get away with missing hatfuls of chances as long as they score a few...
