Stupid reason

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence wouldn't base their vote on such a stupid reason. You might not like Daily Mail readers, but beyond all the hyperbole that comes out of that paper there is an ounce of truth in some of it. I shudder more at Independent and Guardian readers myself, I'm still convinced that for anyone to read these papers and swallow any of the crap they come up with, then brain development failed at some point in that person's life.

As for the Euro issue - it depends on whether one if thinking short term or long term. In the short term ditching the pound for the Euro could be potentially disasterous - one central bank setting interest rates for all of Europe, much of it structurally different economically, means if our economy tanks, but mainland Europe is okay, then how can the central bank help us without hurting mainland Europe? In the long run, should economic sectors converge across Europe then this argument weakens, but we might all be dead by then - so not quite a sound argument.
