After all, a player who is talented yet 'lazy' (O'Neill, Easton ) is booed, while grafters with no talent (Holt, Carey) are similarly booed.

Players who turn down contracts are booed (Mullers) while others whose contract prove problematic escape censure totally (Iwan, Kenton).

If the fans want to boo someone they will - logic hardly comes into it.
