the Fulham game

I actually felt a bit sorry for Francis. Given that Fulham play a 5 man midfield and his only defensive help once safri went off was Holt (who might as well not have been there) he was hopelessly outnumbered and didn't have a prayer of getting into the game (while Safri was on I thought he was OK). Our problem was the whole formation, given that Hucks & Bentley were lazy gits when the other team have the ball (I KNOW that isn't their game but having the two of them on the pitch and two strikers was a tactical recipe for disaster. It meant Francis's responsibility had to be totally defensive (we didn't need another attacking player!) but that isn't really HIS game (he is better making forward runs). So he was basically forced to play a game that didn't suit him to accommodate equally limited players who couldn't (or wouldn't)change the way they played.
