Roeder tipped to make Saints move

With City boss Glenn Roeder telling the local media he was eyeing a new striker for next season, it seems the internet rumour mill has gone into overdrive.
Roeder has been linked strongly with January transfer window target Grzegorz Rasiak of Southampton today, plus Newcastle's Andy Carroll and Scunthorpe's Martin Paterson.
Rasiak is currently on loan at Bolton, but is expected to return to St Mary's in the summer - though only temporarily.
The comments come as City begin face up to the reality of losing both Dion Dublin and Ched Evans at the end of the season.
Roeder told the Evening News today: "Dion's retiring, Ched will be going back (to Manchester City) and we are not going to play one up front next year so we obviously have to improve in that area.
"It is an area we need to improve on, but again, with what we are running with, overall the boys are doing amazingly well.
"There isn't any way anyone could get me to even talk about or even think about being other than positive to the players."
