Which thinking about it, may apply to West Brom as well. If the scummers hadn't choked in 98/9, I suspect they'd have enjoyed two excellent seasons, and maybe had the chance to stabilise themselves instead of blowing it all.

Good comparison between the two managers: Burley'll give Scotland every chance to really play some decent stuff as well as qualify for South Africa - and Mowbray, whose sides do have a history of blowing big games (several with Hibs as well as last season's play-off final) is destined for big things IMO, as long as he gets them up this year.
