No - the bigger picture is that....

If you give your all and play for the team then the fans will back you all the way. If you don't and turn out disgraceful performances which let eveyone down then you will get some stick from the fans. Message is clear for the players to see and I think its fair enough.

I'm sure any booing of Francis will be countered by extra support for the others.

From what i've heard quite a few of the players were annoyed with Francis last season anyway. They will probably enjoy seeing him get some stick.
