And yes, I have watched Tiny a few times and never saw anything like that. Which makes it all the less likely that it was an accident, in my opinion. I am not trying to be sanctimonious at all, it is my honest opinion that there was a good chance for him to duck the tackle but he chose to go in high. Sorry if that offends you - I happen to believe he would have been a very good addition to our team when we had the chance. I will readily admit that comparing him to Muscat is grossly unfair over his career, I didn't mean to infer that - just that the tackle reminded me of one or two of Muscat's.
It is the professional's favourite excuse these days that any bad tackle is mistimed. That is not my opinion, I watch an awful lot of football and see the cynical nonsense that is excused by pundits and managers every day. My guess would be that well under 10% of dodgy tackles are mistimed..
