Comments reported in the press, local or otherwise, always get blown up out of proportion, so I don't believe a lot of the crap about Bentley. On loan from a major club with a style like he has, he was always going to attract attention and have people wanting to catch him out.

He also always seemed to be trying his best on the pitch, to me at least. He was probably told that "down to me" line by an agent, friend, manager, or some such.
