Star players set their standards so high that unless they are stunning in every game then they get criticised.
Jonny Wilkinson is still a fantastic rugby, yet if he has one bad game (or even an average game) the media is full of Is Jonny Finished? stories.
Hucks is our version of this phenomenon. If any other player had done as well as him today on the left wing for Norwich (Bertrand, Henry, Eagle, Pattison) they'd be being hailed as the new Eadie. He was bloody good today, after weeks without 90 minutes, and he gave us an entirely different dimension to recent weeks and he gave Barnsley something to worry about on both flanks.
I can see why, away from home, the one winger tactic has real benefits, but at home Hucks and Croft posed real problems.
Supporting Hucks and Roeder need not be mutually exclusive.
