I didn't have much time for Gascoigne until I read his autobiog.

Then I read it, and now I have even less.

Am I alone in feeling that the whole wife-beating and neglect-of-kids thing more than overcompensates for any goodwill he might get for being a prodigious, albeit wasted talent?
