Keep your Wig on!

I play chess with a friend who just happens to be an Ipsh fan.
After the games on Sunday I went round his to play chess, and to revel in his teams lack of automatic promotion.
He then informed me of his next match in the chess league:
"It's at the Wig an' Pistle"
"Wigan?" I replied
"No, the Wig AND Pistle"
"NO, WIGAN pistle you off by nicking 2nd!!!!"
