I think you may have missed the point of the site

He obviously really loves Norwich but is doing this "experiment" of supporting the Arse, presumably because he hopes it'll give him a book deal or at least a fortnightly column in the EDP. Or even subbing for Waggers.

Because his heart is with Norwich it's obvious that he doesn't MEAN that he doesn't want us to go up. Of course he does. It's being said for pathos and dramatic effect - "Oh look how s**t it is supporting the Arse when my REAL club, the one I love, might go up via the play-offs, imagine how awful that would be for a fan like me in the one season when I'm not there cheering them on"

Or you could choose to read it literally, like a moron. Up to you.
