once i was queuing for a bus when another bus pulled up

the second bus was a direct bus, but i was already in the queue for the other one. So i thought about it for a few seconds then i left my place in the queue and went to get the other bus. But the driver had already closed the doors and driven off by the time i got to the other stop, so i started to go back to bus number 1, which left before i got back to it.

It's a bit like that story about Stephen, Vanessa and Polly, isn't it.
