It was noticed around me but never really stepped over into racism.
Someone did ask the ref if we were playing taliban rules.
I had a short guilty chuckle at that, kind of caught me by surprise and I thought it was quite quick witted.
Is that racist though?
Observational humour without passing judgement on the guy due to his religion, however you could say it was pandering to a stereotype.
Fine line if you ask me.
