Last season, after 30 games:

6th place had 49 points (as did 4th and 5th), big cluster down to 10th place (46 points).

So things are definitely more spread out this year and fewer points will probably be needed for top six.

Still as you say it's a lot of teams to catch. Next three or four games are crucial, the homes all look winnable, Cardiff away will be tough but if we can get a point...Watford away might be a tougher proposition.
