Wheres All This Bloody Snow?

Watched the news last night. Couldn't help but smile. Snow ploughs working away on roads that had so little snow on them, they weren't actually "plouging" anything, but at least the tax payers could see that their councils were out there and being seen to do something, even if it was a bit cosmetic.

Saw roads closed that seemed to have no more than wet, brown slush on them. Heard a BBC Weather Warning (!) that advised of "...gusts of wind, some approaching 30mph...", goodness, better watch out for those flying leaves and feathers then.

Snow would "blanket" the country apparantly. Spoke to parents in Brancaster-damn and blast, not in Norfolk this weekend-Mum said "wheres the snow?"-indeed, and remembering those years when I walked up Mill Hill above the hedges that border the fields, so high were the drifts. That was a blanket. If we are going to use analogies, the smattering I saw yesterday seemed more like the damp brown stain you temporarily get if you leave a wet teabag on a kitchen surface-and about as dangerous as one.

Meanwhile, this morning, as usual, West Sussex and the Chichester area awakens to blue skies, light winds, and twittering birds anticipating the Spring. Where is all this bad weather? Can we have some, please???
