One Thing About Next Season

I reckon the CCC is going to be at its most open and interesting for many a long year. No one team is going to dominate it, and, come next Saturday, at least 8-10 clubs are going to have genuinely realistic hopes of either automatic promotion or the play off's.

Compare that to the predictability of the Premiership-one of three teams will win it, one of about four or five will go down, the rest make up the numbers-and it, at least, makes for an interesting season ahead, no game is a forgone conclusion & when you mull over the myriad contenders-us, Palace,Wolves, Leeds, Reading, Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich, Hull, Derby, possibly Sheff Weds and Sheff Utd yet again, its going to be interesting, lots of big games, lots of important ones, and a real chance of some more glory-then bring it on, prefer it to the games we had last season when, I think, even the players knew we wouldn't win, then its going to be enjoyable, especially if we get a good start.

If we don't, then the discontent is going to be major and that worries me, that we won't be in the top 2/3 by October, and people start to question everything. But hey, even THAT makes things interesting!

And, despite all of that, I sure as hell hope we are back in the Prem for 2006/07, though it is not going to be easy, not at all & offered a play off place now, I'd take it.
