Back from St Mary's

We rode our luck tonight. More tahn decent in the first twenty minutes or so, and progressively worse as half time approached. If Southampton could get a banjo within a mile or so of a cows arse we would have lost heavily, but they didn’t.

Plus points Crofty, Russell, Dion

Minus points –we gave the ball away in bad positions so many times I lost count. A team with any degree of competence would shredded us and scored plenty. We had little shape as a team defensively, plenty of work to be done there.

We really missed Fozzy when he went off.

But as my dear old departed Dad used to say, “It doesn’t say how it says how many”, but the “how” many masked a number of deficiencies tonight.

It’s a funny old game. Fab vs Leicester and draw, average at Southampton and win.
