and the club said he could play, but he'd never be 100%. I suggested he needed an operation that might need a 6months + to heal, but why would the club do that if he's not playing for us after that
Looks like that has been the way, and he's played through the pain, and probably damaged it more, but might have the op after his contract here
Whether he'd want to play on after I dunno, MLS maybe
I knew a player's wife at York, Tony Barrass who had a hip injury when he was in his 20's, and York were going to cortizone inject it, but she said no way
When he went to get it sorted, the surgeon said if he'd have played on with the damage already done, he'd not play football for more than a year
After the op, he played till he was about 36
