not to mention your own stamps.

Now I don't wish to knock this, but I do think there's a tiny bit of realism missing.

Everyone involved in this would not be doing it for free, they would be doing it for a loss. A few local firms might be happy with this for a while, but realisticly they're not going to run with it forever.
