Carrow Roeder's idea would carry more weight if there was an incentive

ie, a set promise by 10000 fans to commit to £5 a month, and anyone at the club on 5k a week or over here contributes 5% of their wage

Which before tax is about 260,000 a year
After about 170,000

Which is 8k per player

Now that would be an idea
