Rumours fly Taylor is on his way

Cheep Shot has been tipped off by a source close to leading club figures Martin Taylor WILL sign for City this coming week.

Apparently the Birmingham defender is subject of an increased bid, one Brum's chief executive Karren Brady has indicated she will accept.

This news comes after Roeder yesterday let slip that he had "offered too much" for Taylor, but Brady "doesn't see to see that".

"I'm always positive that we will get a player in that day," the City boss told www.myfootballwriter.com when discussing how hard he has been working to snare transfer targets.

"You're on the telephone, trying to cajole people to understand that we've already offered too much for your player and you should be letting us have him. But she doesn't seem to see that at the moment."

Our source has also alerted us to the news a deal for a new striker could be in the offing next week, with the City board authorising funds for Roeder's target.

The most outlandish and exciting claim from our source is that Norwich are in a three-way chase with Inter Milan and an un-named Greek side for a "Spanish wonderkid from Valencia."

No name is forthcoming, but apparently "Roeder [was] on the phone all [last] night trying to seal it".

Interesting stuff, let's see what transpires over the new few days and see if our source has got it right.

In the meantime, no City fan should hold their breath but stranger things have happened in the world of football.
