Whenever other players miss a game, no-one bats an eyelid.
Whenever Hucks misses one, thats it-he's off! There were the Celtic rumours soon after he joined us, and, when Gordon Strachan was seen at one of our games, they went into overdrive!
Yet Strachan had just taken in a game and amusingly said afterwards something along the lines of "I was wondering how many times he'd be caught offside!"!
He's been linked with Leicester, Sheff United, Celtic -again- and, lately, the US and Palace, FFS, he's REALLY a Neil Warnock player isn't he, people need to think before speaking sometimes! Still, stewards are privy to all the clubs inside information aren't they, we all know that....
We've struggled this season and Hucks has wanted to play and be part of it. At times, he's looked frustrated, thats now immediately seen as always meaning he's fallen out with someone or has had enough of his team mates efforts, I rather think its frustration with himself for whatever reasons, he still has high standards, thats why he'll pack it in when the time is right, and not limp down the divisions like a Peter Beagrie or Steve (can you believe I played for England?) Guppy.
The squad has a bit more about it now, the situation is not so dire. Its a perfect time for him to get out there and get himself sorted out and fit again-for us, AND for himself, especially, and I echo what Neil Adams said in Canary Call, we want him to sign one for one more year next season, especially as it just might see him go out a'la Iwan, in a blaze of glory.
Go HUCKS!
