Tis a theory someone told me once

about how your body gets used to its daily routine, and your metabolism does aswell. So if you break that routine for one day, then go back to your other routine, then your body won't be affected by it, and will be tricked into thinking you are still eating what you normally do on the other 6 days

Obviously if you carry on piggy out your body will adjust

Might get told its a load of bollocks, but I think it makes a fair amount of sense
