he wanted the chance to play in the Premiership

he signed on believing we could take him there/his goals would get us there

when that didn't happen he used his insurance policy of a get-out clause and i have no problem with that

if we'd have got him to the Premiership his get-out clause would've been null and void and i'm sure that he'd still be with us
