I met the linesman who was on duty for the scum game today

Interesting chat today with a client in a meeting today – I didn’t know what his other job was when I first met him though. We started chatting about football and he mentioned that he is a linesman and is qualified to run the line for premiership games.

He did the Luton Liverpool game (he complained that Luton was the ground he has been to most in his career) and the Villa game which was also on tv, and he also mentioned that he was on duty in the 2-2 scum game. He rated the scum game as his most enjoyable of the season, but he was in front of the away fans and mentioned that a few coins were thrown at him, no direct hits though.
