Tight cashflow? No s**t, we're £17m in debt with a long payback schedule, our income has dropped and our outgoings tend to exceed our income by up to a few million a year barring transfers. Par for the course for at least 90% of football clubs.
Comes under public scrutiny and comment? Again, no s**t. There's 25000 people through the turnstiles each week and I don't know how many who receive the accounts. And those accounts WILL be picked over and either used for semi-intelligent debate about the direction and management of the club, or used to "support" the wildest, most half-arsed conspiracy theories going.
They're looking for someone to join a football club, by its nature one of the most high-profile jobs going. I don't think anything they have said is in any way out of order or a sign of impending disaster.
