Overall I have to agree with you

We simply had to sell the lad when that sort of bid comes in. I can't think of any other player who has been sold by City for £400,000 plus who has never actually played for the first team. Add to this the fact that we have two cracking senior 'keepers and two other England ranked youngsters yet to come through and the decision to sell Lewis for big money is fully justified.
Sorry but I don't rate Robert Green as a top 'keeper. He made a lot of mistakes and rarely inspired confidence. Those who also had the privilege of watching true City greats such as Nethercott, Keelan and Woods will know exactly what I mean. In David Marshall we have the nearest equivalent to Chris Woods that we could possibly get and we should be thanking Peter Grant for one of the few successful things he was able to do for us.
